About Us

Established in 2000 to benefit the students of Lamar CISD, this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors that includes local business, industry, and community leaders. The Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (LEAF) provides funds beyond the normal operating budget for educational programs and activities for students and staff. LEAF is proud to support classroom innovation grants, campus improvement initiatives, Spring Book Festival, Social Skills Camp, Family Connect programs, STEAM Camp, Girls on the Run Program and more! To generate funds to support the students and staff, LEAF partners with local foundations, corporate donors, community supporters, and hosts several signature fundraising events including the New Staff Stampede, Golf Fore Greatness Tournament, Men Who Cook and Surfs Up each year. The Employee Giving Program is a vital part of our fundraising efforts. We are grateful for the Lamar CISD staff members that choose monthly to invest a little part of their payroll to help us reach our mission! We are honored to call you a Friend of the Foundation.
