Nivens’ News – September 2024
September has arrived, and the 2024-2025 school year is off to a great start! Hear the latest and greatest from Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens. We welcomed back more than 46,000 students and opened four new campuses, a sign that Lamar CISD is still a "hypergrowth" school district. Congrats to the 2024 summer graduates, as more than 80 young people graduated from 1621 Place and are onto their next adventure. Additionally, we look back at the exciting August Convocation celebration where staff members were surprised with the generous gift of a $500 stipend from the Board of Trustees.
