Lamar CISD Special Programs

Lamar CISD Special Programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of students by providing targeted support, enrichment, and services that promote academic success and personal growth. These programs include services for students with disabilities, gifted and talented learners, English language learners, and those in need of academic or behavioral interventions. Each program is guided by a commitment to equity, inclusion, and individualized support, ensuring that every student has access to the resources they need to thrive. Through collaboration with families, educators, and specialists, Lamar CISD creates a learning environment where all students are empowered to reach their full potential.

  • Section 504 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that prohibits discrimination based upon disability. Section 504 is an anti-discrimination, civil rights statute that requires the needs of students with disabilities to be met as adequately as the needs of the non-disabled students are met.

  • The District prohibits discrimination, including harassment, against any student on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, disability, age, or any other basis prohibited by law. The District prohibits dating violence, as defined by this policy. Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint process is a violation of District policy and is prohibited. (FFH Local)
