Lamar CISD Grievance Information

Our district is committed to fostering open communication and addressing concerns in a fair and timely manner. If you have a concern or grievance that you would like to file, please follow the process outlined in our district policy. Click on the links below to learn more about the grievance process.

The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees encourages students, parents, and employees to first seek resolution of concerns at the lowest appropriate supervisory or administrative level. Concerns should be raised as soon as possible to allow for timely review and, when appropriate, early resolution. Prior to filing a formal grievance, please confirm that you have made a good faith effort to address the concern with the appropriate individual(s) who have authority to resolve the issue.

 

 

Prior to submitting a formal grievance, please confirm the following, as applicable:

  • Have you spoken with the teacher or staff member directly involved?
  • Have you spoken with the assistant principal, immediate supervisor, or department supervisor?
  • Have you spoken with the principal, department head, or director?
  • Have you spoken with the area superintendent or appropriate executive level administrator?
