Pre-K and Kindergarten Summer School for Current Emergent Bilingual Students

Lamar CISD offers a summer school enrichment program for current Pre-K and Kindergarten Emergent Bilingual (EB) students participating in either English as a Second Language or Dual Language Programs. This summer school opportunity is housed within the Elementary Summer School program and allows the students to expand their vocabulary while applying their new language to real-life experiences

Pre-K and Kindergarten Summer School Eligibility 

 

 

Lamar CISD offers a face to face summer school program for current eligible pre-k and kindergarten Emergent Bilingual students who will be entering either kindergarten or first grade in the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. This program will help your child to continue in his/her development of English language proficiency, literacy and academic skills needed for success in school. Students who enroll and participate in the summer school program will receive instruction from certified ESL or Bilingual teachers.

This enrichment program is not required but can assist students increase their language skills with engaging, game-based learning activities. A summer school flier with additional information on how to enroll is sent home with each pre-k and kindergarten student who participates in a Lamar CISD ESL or Bilingual program.
