Reunification Process

Reunification Process

In the event of a school emergency that requires students to be released to parents or guardians through our reunification process, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We appreciate your cooperation in helping ensure an organized and secure reunification.

What to do:

  • Stay informed. Monitor official district communication channels such as email, text alerts, our website, and social media for real-time updates and instructions.
  • Bring valid photo ID. Only approved parents, guardians, or emergency contacts will be allowed to pick up a student.
  • Follow the designated process. Please go to the reunification site shared by the district, not the school campus unless specifically directed.
  • Be patient and calm. We are working as quickly and carefully as possible to ensure every child is safely reunited with their family.
  • Update your contact information. Make sure your phone number and emergency contacts are current in the school’s records.

What NOT to do:

  • Do not rush to the school. This can interfere with emergency response efforts and delay student safety procedures.
  • Do not call staff directly. Phone lines must remain open for emergency communication.
  • Do not rely on rumors. Trust only official district updates and avoid spreading unverified information.

Best Practices:

  • Talk with your child in advance about what to expect in an emergency.
  • Ensure that all approved emergency contacts are familiar with reunification procedures.
  • Remain calm and supportive — children take their emotional cues from adults.

By working together, we can ensure the safest and most efficient process possible during challenging situations. Thank you for helping us protect every student, every step of the way.
