Business Office Home

The purpose of the Business Office is to effectively utilize the financial resources of the district to ensure the success of all students in the LCISD. Our job is to ensure that state and federal laws are understood and followed, as well as policies required by the local school board and the Texas Education Agency. Our goal is to provide assistance as efficiently and accurately as possible to all who are involved in the educational process for LCISD.

 

The Budget and Compliance Office is responsible for the preparation, adoption, support and monitoring of the district’s annual budget.

The Finance Office is responsible for all financial accounting of the school district funds.

The Purchasing and Materials Management Office is responsible for the organization and administration of purchasing, warehouse, textbooks and asset systems.

  • Budget and Compliance

    The Budget & Compliance Office is responsible for the preparation, adoption, support and monitoring of the Lamar CISD's annual budget. The Texas Education Code (TEC), Chapter 44, governs the process for Texas school district budget preparation and adoption. The Board of Trustees must adopt annually a budget consisting of three areas: General Fund, Debt Service and Food Service.

  • Finance

    The Finance Department is one of the Business Office departments of Lamar CISD. The Finance Department is responsible for all financial accounting of the school district funds. Below you can find links to the district annual financial reports, check registry, and debt transparency reports.

  • Purchasing

    The Purchasing and Materials Management Department is part of the Business Office for Lamar CISD. Responsible for the organization and administration of purchasing, warehouse, textbooks and asset systems, the department strives to offer excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
