Joy Williams - Vice President

Joy Williams serves as Vice President of the Lamar CISD School Board, where she has been a trustee since 2019. 

A resident of Fort Bend County for more than 30 years, Joy has seen a tremendous amount of growth in the area and serves on the school board to help make a positive impact in her community.

She is a native Texan and a graduate from Texas A&M University, with a degree in Business Management and an International Business Certificate, with an emphasis in Spanish.

Joy previously worked in the energy industry for several years. She also was a Spanish teacher and Assistant to the Head of School, at a local school for students with learning challenges.

She enjoys being married to David Williams and mother to their son, Noah (Class of 2023) and daughter, Molly (Class of 2026). Noah attended Lamar CISD's Dickinson Elementary, Reading JH and George Ranch HS, before he went to heaven on August 15, 2020, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Joy also dedicates her time serving at her church and she enjoys taking care of her family and playing tennis.
