Acting Principal 

Lamar Junior High School 

Dr. Brent D. Watson has been named the new acting principal at Lamar Junior High School. Dr. Watson has 16 years of experience in education, including nine years in secondary administration at the junior high and high school levels. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s in educational leadership from Prairie View A&M University and a doctorate in executive educational leadership from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University). Dr. Watson is excited to return to Lamar Junior High School, where he’ll be dedicated to fostering academic excellence, promoting a positive school culture, and supporting student success.
