What is Shac?

The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group of community members appointed by the school district to provide input and recommendations about school health programs.

SHAC helps ensure that:

  • Health education and prevention programs are age‑appropriate
  • Programs support student health and academic success
  • Instruction reflects the values and needs of the community

SHAC also reviews and provides guidance on instruction related to human growth and development.
