District of Innovation (DOI) Designation


On November 15, Lamar CISD convened the Districtwide Student Improvement Council (DSIC) to discuss why we are interested in pursuing a District of Innovation (DOI) designation. The DSIC is made up of teachers, staff, parents, business representatives, and community members with a requirement that more than 2/3 of the elected professional staff must be classroom teachers.

Our district remains committed to the continued success of our students, and we encourage our community to read the DOI Information Packet and DOI Presentation from November 15 to learn more about our rationale for wanting this designation and what it could mean for our school community.
