Bond 2022

Lamar CISD is proud to be the number one fastest growing district of our size in the state of Texas. In fact, demographers project that our community will add more than 48,000 new single-family homes within the next decade. Since 2020, Lamar CISD has had the greatest number of new housing starts of any school district in the Houston metro area and the State of Texas.

To keep up with our growth, we are frequently building and opening new schools and facilities—while regularly reviewing enrollment trends, district finances and housing developments within the district.

In reviewing our recent demographic report from Population and Survey Analysts (PASA), as well as our facilities assessment, it is clear that we need to call for a Bond Referendum to address our rapid growth and facility needs.

In preparation, we are organizing a Bond Citizens’ Committee of Lamar CISD community members who will be tasked with providing strategic direction, feedback, and guidance to the district as it prepares to put together possible propositions for consideration.

Thank you for your interest in the Bond Citizens’ Committee. Applications are closed. At this time, applications are under review.
