During her time at George Ranch, Alexis was involved in various extracurricular activities including the Technology Student Association, where she served as the Sergeant at Arms, and the nonprofit organization startup Snowdrop United Corporation, which she co-founded to empower those in need through sheltered environment, hot meals, and a stable job. She also participated in the National Honor Society, Women’s Empowerment Club, Science Olympiad, and volunteered regularly at the Houston Food Bank.

Alexis has received several accolades, including the AP Scholar Award, Northeastern University Honors Scholarship, and two National TSA Awards.

Her favorite quote is from Vincent Van Gogh, "If I am worth anything later, I am worth something now. For wheat is wheat, even if people think it is grass in the beginning."

Alexis would like to thank her family, friends, accommodating teachers, faculty, and the women who have been monumental in sculpting her identity.

Although Alexis will strive for academic recognition and a leadership role in her future job, her main ambition in life is to spend time with loved ones and have fun. In her free time, she enjoys visual art, reading, writing, journaling, city building simulation, and architectural construction.

Salutatorian Stephanie Hudd is the daughter of Jennifer and Adam Hudd. She will be attending the University of Texas to study Psychology with the goal of becoming a Pediatric Psychiatrist.

During her time at George Ranch, she was involved in the Longhorn Band as a drum captain and indoor percussion. Additionally, she was president of National Honor Society, a member of Best Buddies, and part of the Spotlight Project.

Stephanie also received the honor of being an AP Scholar with Distinction, and is a Rural and Small Town Scholar.

Her favorite quote by Alice Walker is "The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any.”

Stephanie would like to thank her mom, dad, and sister for unconditionally supporting her endeavors and loving her no matter the outcome. She would also like to thank Ms. Catherine Harris, Ms. Katherine Thompson, Ms. Rachel Settle, Ms. Monica Flores, and Dr. Tracy Douglas.

It is her goal in life to move into higher education and earn a doctorate. Stephanie also hopes to be joyful through each stage of life. In her free time, she enjoys baking, crochet, and music.

We congratulate both scholars on their impressive achievements and wish them the best in all future endeavors.
