At its December meeting, the Board of Trustees approved a resolution declaring Jan. 9 as Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
This day is designated to celebrate and recognize the brave men and women who work tirelessly to preserve the safety of the country. These individuals put their lives on the line as they strive to maintain a safe environment for the District and community.
