AP Camp

During the summer AP students participated in the first AP Camp held at LCHS. Ms. McCain, Mr. Oliver, Mrs. Pineda, Mrs. Troutman, Ms. Gilliam, Ms. Aldefer, and other AP teachers took these students on various field trips and participated in an Escape Room. They also learned about collaboration, analysis, leadership, and team building strategies that would help them in their upcoming AP classes and life.
On our second half day of the school year, these 80 students participated in a crime scene analysis crated by McCain, Oliver, Pineda, and Troutman to see if the students were still using the tools they were taught during the summer.

Greetings parents,
Lamar Consolidated ISD is excited to roll out the Canvas Learning Management System to all secondary students for the 2017-18 school year. Canvas is a digital tool that allows teachers, students, and parents a single platform for accessing a variety of educational resources online, all in one location. Over the course of the 2017-18 school year, teachers will begin using a variety of Canvas’ features. As we begin the school year, Canvas will be a resource for teacher and campus communication and will continue to evolve over the coming months.
To assist you in learning how to use Canvas as a parent, a variety of instructional videos have been made available to you on theLCISD Student & Parents Canvas Information webpage. Instructional videos on this page include information on:

  • Creating your account

  • Linking multiple students to your account

  • An overview of navigating Canvas

  • Defining your notification settings

  • Using the Canvas Parent App

Please know that this is not a replacement for Skyward Family Access. Skyward is still your source for student grades, attendance, and discipline.
We are excited to use Canvas this school year and beyond! We know this will be a great instructional tool for you and your student!

The 2017 Football Season is here!

Booster Club Membership 2017-2018

These annual memberships are for the 2017-2018 school year and must be renewed each year. Please, please seriously consider becoming members of the Booster Club. The Lamar Booster Club does everything it can to help ALL of our sports programs financially by helping purchase items of need that will help them be as successful as possible. In addition to helping the different sport teams, the Lamar ABC also provides approximately $7500 in scholarships to Lamar student-athletes for college. The booster club typically gives 15 $500 scholarships to our student-athletes each year to go towards college tuition. You can join for as little as $20. Every dollar helps.

Colt Club Registration Forms for this new season.

This “junior booster club” is for kids K-6th grade (roughly 4-12 yrs old). The cost of membership is $20 which includes a t-shirt. This t-shirt will allow them into each Lamar game here at Traylor (5 games total) FREE with an accompanying paid adult. The t-shirt will also give them field access prior to the game (this includes face painting, meeting players, coaches, and cheerleaders). It also includes the ultimate benefit/reward….running through our new 25ft tall tunnel with our Mustang Football players and Cheerleaders prior to kickoff. There is no deadline to join. The booster Club always purchases a few more shirts in various sizes to try and accommodate late registrations. The cost will always remain $20 regardless of how many games are left so I encourage you to sign your kids up sooner rather than later. Cash or Checks made out to the Lamar Athletic Booster Club (ABC)
