Getting Ahead at Seguin Through the GROW Project
September 23, 2015
This summer fifty Seguin Early Childhood Center students participated in the G.R.O.W. Project, a program designed to keep kids mentally engaged over the summer months, so that they'll be sharper as they enter kindergarten. Kids were required to read a designated number of minutes five days a week, and they also received a laptop with Internet access so they could play educational games. As a G.R.OW. Project graduation surprise, those kids who reached 1,000 hours of reading over the summer received a free bicycle.
