Welcome to Austin Elementary!
veterans day chalkboard

On Tuesday, November 11th our 4th grade students will be presenting a tribute to all of our military veterans at our annual Veterans’ Day Program.  They will be singing at 1:15 during the day for the school, and again that evening at 7:00 for parents.

Students need to wear a white, polo-style uniform shirt, blue jeans (please no shorts or skirts) and American flag bandanna (which is provided) for this performance.

We will be recognizing our veterans at both performances. As part of our celebration, will be recognizing each veteran for their service.

Red Ribbon Week Campaign

October 27-31, 2014

The Red Ribbon Campaign was started when people that did not follow the rules in Mexico City took the life of Kiki Camarena in 1985.  This began the continuing tradition of displaying red ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs.  The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a Drug-Free America.
