Johnson Named as Head Football Coach for Lamar Consolidated High School

At its regular April meeting, the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees approved Kiah Johnson as the new head football coach and campus athletic coordinator of Lamar Consolidated High School.

Coach Johnson is currently serving as the head track coach for LCHS as well as the special teams coordinator and linebacker coach for the Mustangs’ varsity football program.

A graduate of Texas A&M University – Kingsville, Coach Johnson joined the Mustang family in 2014 as the campus athletic coordinator and head football coach at Lamar Junior High.

Previous to this, he was the head basketball coach at George Junior High. Coach Johnson also has over 11 years of experience teaching physical and special education.

Before joining the Lamar CISD family, Coach Johnson was a defensive coordinator out of district and played for the Chicago Bears.
