Terry High School art teacher Dr. Joan Maresh Hansen invites the community to see student works of art on display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Sugar Land.

Over 100 works of art from the Art IV and AP Art classes at B.F. Terry High School will have their work featured at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Sugar Land through the end of December. The art pieces are being featured in the museum’s art gallery. The student artists have portfolios of their work featuring eight to nine pieces, each grouped showing their artistic progress during the first semester, on display, said art instructor Dr. Joan Maresh Hansen.

“It certainly makes you feel very proud as their teacher when you are able to witness such a wide array of  artistic achievements and creative problem solving,” Dr. Joan Maresh Hansen, teaching artist and art instructor from Terry said. “It’s a privilege to work with such talented young people. Stop by to enjoy the show.”

In addition, Art 1 classes completed colorful Mandalas that are also on display. Admission is free if visitors notify the museum’s admission clerk know they are there to see the art exhibit. The museum is located at 13016 University Boulevard in Sugar Land.
