Procedures for Morning Drop-off and Afternoon Dismissal

Having an efficient and safe car rider drop-off and dismissal process is a top priority.  We need your help to make it as efficient as possible please.

Morning Drop-off

  • Please drop off your child(ren) in the driveway closest to the school and wait for a safety patrol student to open the car door.

  • If you want to walk your child to the front door, you may park in the parking lot and walk the child across the street when a staff member welcomes you across the driveway.

  • Only cross at the designated crosswalks around the school.  For safety reasons, please do not cross or allow your child to cross anywhere else.

  • When exiting the school driveway, only right turns will be permitted during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal in order to keep our traffic moving efficiently.

Afternoon Dismissal

  • Hang your orange car rider sign from your rear view mirror so that it is visible until your child gets into your car.  Most people use a pants hangar for this purpose.

  • If you arrive after the students have been taken inside, you will need to come into the front office to sign your child out as a late pick-up. 

If everyone follows the above procedures consistently, our morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal will be a home run!


Registration

You must complete registration application online at www.lcisd.org before bringing in required documents to the school. 

Required Documents:
Certified Birth Certificate
Student's Social Security Card
Current Immunization Record
Parent/Guardian's Driver's License
Proof of Residence i.e. Fixed Utility Bill (water, gas, or electric)
Most Recent Report Card if coming from another District

School Uniforms

Students are required to wear uniform dress.  Shirt/Blouse must be collared red, white, black, gray, navy blue or an official school or PTO shirt.  Bottoms must be solid black, gray, navy blue, khaki, or blue denim and free of rips, tears or holes.  No athletic bottoms.  Any leggings or tights worn must be uniform color and must be worn under shorts or skirts.  Jackets worn in building must be solid red, white, black, gray, navy blue or an official PTO jacket.  Shoes must be safe for school.  Athletic, closed toe and shoes with a back are recommended.  No heels, flip flops, house shoes or wheels.  Hair must be clean, well-groomed, out of eyes, and shall be non-distracting or "conspicuous".

Birthday Grams and Spirit Sticks

Parents, for $1.00 you can purchase a personalized Birthday Gram to celebrate your child's birthday.  The Bulldog Broadcast Team will announce your child's birthday message on the announcements, and your child will receive an exclusive birthday spirit stick.  Please drop by the front office to purchase yours.

Spirit Sticks will be on sale every Wednesday morning before school in the hallway outside the library doors.  They are $1.00 each, and students will need to bring cash to make a purchase.
