As we head into the Fair Day Weekend, all of our classes are in full learning mode. With a new more rigorous math curriculum, the students and teachers are working very diligently on learning all of the necessary content. I think about what we expect of our students today and what it was like years ago and I am amazed at how much more is required from students today. There is so much more information available. The expectations for kindergarteners of today are what many of us were doing in first grade years ago. All of the curriculum has been pushed down to a lower grade level. Expectations and rigor continue to increase and our teachers and students will rise to successfully meet the challenges of the new higher levels of learning.
I want to remind all parents that photographing any students other than your own without permission is prohibited at school. In addition, posting other students on Facebook or any social media is not permitted. Please respect the privacy of other families who may not want their child available to viewing by others. I have asked Mr. Jerry to remind parents or visitors in the cafeteria about these rules so that we may protect the right of privacy of all of our students. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
