Next week is our Kindergarten Round-Up Week. All children who will turn 5 on or before September 1st are eligible to register for next year’s kindergarten class. We look forward to having a large turnout so that we can begin to see how many kindergarten classes will be needed for the next school year. If you are currently a Pre-K student in Lamar CISD, you do not need to register since you have already done that before going to Pre-K. However, we would appreciate a phone call just letting us know you will be coming to Austin next year. To register, you must go on-line to the LCISD webpage to complete the registration form (or click here: REGISTRATION). Once completed, you will be given a confirmation number to bring to school to complete the registration process. The secretary will ask you for 4 documents along with the confirmation number. The 4 documents that you will need to bring are:
- Birth Certificate of child
- Social Security Card of the child
- Immunization record of child
- Proof of Residence (Utility bill, etc.)
If you do not have access to a computer, we will allow you to use one of the school's computers. Also, if you do not have all of these documents currently in your possession, you can still register. You will be allowed to bring them in at a later date. If you have any questions about how to register you can call the school and someone will help you. We look forward to the many new faces we will be seeing next year at Austin Elementary School.
Field Day is May 2nd and there will be lots of fun and activities for everyone. We would love to have you join us for this special day and could really use your help. We need one adult for each station helping with the activity. You do not have to work the station the entire morning! Please let Ms. Cantu know asap if you can help out. ([email protected]). Also, we will start the day with the PIE IN THE FACE activity. Don't forget to vote (drop money in the jug in the foyer) for your favorite person. It looks like Mr. Jerry and Ms. Dozier are tied at this point!!!
