SMART Tag Implementation

New this year, Lamar CISD is implementing the SMART tag system for all students.

SMART tag will help increase safety and security for students riding our school buses and will provide live monitoring of student loading and unloading to keep Transportation, school administrators and parents informed. SMART tag also integrates with other Lamar CISD systems and allows students to use their badges in the cafeteria and to check out books in the library.

To pilot the system and ensure quality of the real-time data, Lamar CISD will be implementing the SMART tag system in phases, beginning first with Transportation staff, then campuses and finally with parent access.
