At the April Board Meeting, the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees approved Ruth Riha as the new principal for Tamarron Elementary for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
Ruth Riha has been in education for 23 years, and she has been an elementary principal for 18 of those years.
She joins us from Fort Bend ISD where she served as principal of Barrington Place and Meadows Elementary Schools. Her previous roles include teaching Kindergarten, 3rd Grade and 4th Grade Reading Intervention in Sinto ISD and Ingelside ISD. Additionally, she was a principal and assistant principal at Pearland ISD.
Ms. Riha graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Early Childhood and a Masters in Educational Administration with highest honors.
