School  Mission Statement


The mission of Bowie Elementary School is to establish an effective education program that will enable every student to meet his/her fullest potential in order to be a successful citizen within our future and present world.

All parents that have entered their email address into Family Access will receive the Principal's Bowie Blast (newsletter) on Sundays.  If you need assistance with this, please contact the front office at 832-223-1200.  Teachers send home weekly grade level newsletters. 

 
Bell Schedule

7:00 am- Doors open, tutorials begin

7:15 am- Breakfast on Voice Level 0, Students enter the classroom

7:30 am- Tardy bell, students should be in class, breakfast is not served after this time.

9:30 am- Attendance bell

2:00 pm- Changes of going home deadline

2:10 pm- Changes of going home sent to students

2:40 pm- Dismissal

3:00 pm- Late pick up (must sign out students from front office)

Daily

Check, sign, and return Expectation Folder.

Ask child what his or her favorite part of school was that day.  Ask what was one thing that he/she learned.

Read 20 minutes with your child. 

Practice number fluency that has been recommended by each grade level.

Review any homework that needs to be completed.

Weekly

Check Tuesday Folder for important information.  Return on Wednesday.

Read Tuesday Newsletter from classroom teacher. 

Read Bowie Blast for upcoming school information.
