Briscoe Finishes Season Beating El Campo

The Briscoe 7th B Football team faced off in a season final against the El Campo Ricebirds, where the Eagles had a dominating performance beat the ricebirds 33-0. The Eagles was led by an outstanding passing performance from Philip Amy who passed for a total of 250 yards. Amy connected with Chase Cloud on a 65 yard touchdown and Bryce McDade for a 67 yard touchdown. The Eagles ground attack was led by Dane Johnson who carried the ball for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Ben Davidson also contributed in the run game scoring on a 20 yard touchdown run. The Eagles defensive performance was led by Andrew Martin with a fumble recovery, Patrick Moore and Brock Wilson with several tackles. The Eagles finished at 4-2 overall.

The Briscoe Eagles 7th grade A football team defeated the El Campo Ricebirds 13-0. Parker Hearon scored a touchdown on a 36 yard run to put the Eagles up 6-0. In the 3rd quarter, Jacoby Williams scored on a 4 yard run to put the Eagles up 12-0 and scoring the extra point was Lane Krenek. William Lewis was a huge playmaker on the defensive side of the ball with a total of 8 tackles, 3 for losses. The 7th grade Briscoe Eagles A team fought through a lot adversity and came out with a respectable season 3-3.

The Briscoe Jr. High 8B football team beat El Campo Tuesday night by a score of 6-0. Leading the Eagles on offense were Jabyn Capistrano who caught a pass, Chase Malek who caught a pass, Christian Martinez, and Carson Babin who scored on a 6 yard TD pass from Wyatt Radcliff. Defensive leaders for the Eagles were Nathan Hodges, Gavin Jacob who had an interception, and Leonard Smith who also had an interception. The Eagles finish at 4-1 in district play.

The Briscoe Jr. High A football team lost to El Campo Tuesday night by a score of 13-16. Leading the Eagles on offense were Jayden Oliver, Marcus Mehaffey, Chidozie Nwankwo, and Mario Simmons who scored on a 1 yard TD run and a 25 yard Td run. Leading the Eagles on defense were Shermar Jones who had an interception, Collin Wix who recovered a fumble, and Ricky Rich. The Eagles finish at 3-3 overall.
