Briscoe Football Sweeps Stafford to Stay Undefeated

The Briscoe JH 7C White team faced off against the Briscoe JH 7C Gold in a hard fought game that the Briscoe 7C White team won 6-0. Leading the White team Eagles on the offensive side of the ball was Javhunt King with a 12 yard run. The defensive leader for the white team was Omar Akacha forcing a fumble and recovering. On the defensive side of the ball was Adam Miller with a forced fumble and recovered fumble. Gavin Jacob came up huge with a timely kick return for 45 yard putting the offense in great field position.

The 7A football team defeated Stafford JH 28-0. Scoring for the Eagles were Ryan Stubblefield who threw 4 TD passes; receiving those passes were Mario Simmons from 14 yards and 65 yards out, Kobe Been from 20 yards out, and Jayden Oliver from 24 yards out. Simmons also recorded 3 PATs with Chidozie Nwankwo recording the 4th. Other offensive players of the game were Jonathan Davidson, Marcello Spano, Jeffrey Morka, Jared Williams, and Cedric Dickerson. Leading the way on defense was Marcus Mehaffey (recovered a fumble), Cody Beckworth (sacked the QB), Nwankwo (recovered a fumble), Sebastian Garcia, Eric Self, Terrell Moore, and Chase Albright. The 7A Eagles football team move to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in district.

The Briscoe 8th grade B football team defeated Stafford Middle School 13-2. Leading the Eagles on offense were Shadeed Ahmed who scored on a 12 yard touchdown run and a 30 yard touchdown run. Scoring on an extra point was KJ Johnson. Defensive leaders for the Eagles were Shadeed Ahmed who had 2 interceptions and Jaylon Hurd who had a fumble recovery. Other defensive leaders were Israel Floyd, Zach Williams, and Ethan Williamson. The Eagles are now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in district play.

The Briscoe 8th grade A football team defeated Stafford Middle School 27-0. Offensive leaders for the Eagles were Chip Barrios who scored on a 23 yard touchdown run, Jason McDonald who scored on a 7 yard touchdown run, and Michael Marino who threw a 15 yard touchdown pass to Koleman Hardin. Converting on an extra point was Jacob McCune on a pass from Michael Marino and Keven Da'Silva who kicked 2 extra points. Leading the Eagles on defense were Amryn Williams who scored on an interception return for a touchdown, Logan Duers who had an interception, Keven Da'Silva who recovered a fumble, and Cort Adams who forced a fumble. Other defensive leaders for the Eagles were Dillon Clark, Hunter Schultz, and Robert Harbor. The win puts the Eagles at 3-0 overall and 2-0 in district play.
