Huskies sweep prizes at Precinct 3 Festival

Hubenak Elementary 5th-grade students swept the 3rd-5th grade Writing Category at the 4th Annual Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Literary and Fine Arts Festival and Parade at the Cinco Ranch Library. The Festival featured work from students in Lamar CISD and Katy ISD. 

Under the direction of school librarian Kathy Digoy, Erin Smith’s essay was named Best of Show, taking home a giant trophy and a $1,000 prize.

Fifth-graders Said Fahmid, Teji Gboboh and Ryland Jones all received Judges Choice winners, earning a scholarship to an art or theater arts camp and a Season Pass to Typhoon Texas Waterpark.
