The library is a popular spot for students to use computers, read magazines, borrow books, engage in puzzles, play games, or socialize.

When you require a computer, need to make a copy, or want to borrow a book, the library is the place to go. With over 20 computers available before and after school, as well as approximately 17,000 books to delve into, there's plenty to discover! Explore a variety of popular series titles, and feel free to share any suggestions for new books with us.

Students can borrow up to 3 books for 3 weeks at a time, provided they have no overdue or lost books. Weekly reminders about overdue materials are sent via email. If a book is lost or damaged, the student will need to cover the cost of the book. Additionally, students can borrow audio books and internet hotspots. To borrow technology items, students must have an up-to-date AUP on file in Skyward.

Our makerspace area offers coloring pages, puzzles, games, sticker mosaics, Keva planks, Legos, and more. Makerspace backpacks are also available for borrowing.

School supplies such as posters, folders, spirals, binders, and paper are available for student purchase at the library school store.
Students have the option to print from any computer to the library printer at no cost for school-related work. However, students are advised to be mindful of the number of pages they print. Personal printing, which includes items like lyrics, guitar chords, invitations, and fliers not related to class assignments, incurs a charge of $0.10 per page.

The student handbook's acceptable use policy outlines the rules and regulations for using school computers. Should a student be caught using a proxy server to access inappropriate websites, they could lose computer access privileges for the entire school year.

The library's Canvas page should appear on your Canvas dashboard. If it's missing, reach out to Mrs. Rose for assistance. The library offers virtual makerspace activities like coding, escape rooms, and free eBooks.

Check out the B.F. Terry library Facebook Page for book trailers and updates. Explore the library pages on the left toolbar for various resources. Reach out to Mrs. Rose or visit the library for further support.

"If words remain words and sit quietly on the page, if they remain nouns and verbs and adjectives, then we are truly blind. But if words seem to disappear and our innermost self begins to laugh and cry, to sing and dance and finally to fly...if we are transformed in all that we are, to a brand new world, then and only then can we read."-Joe Wayman
