These are pictures of Lamar High School Criminal Justice students and the Rosenberg Police Department Explorers Post 2420 consisting of mainly Lamar High School Students receiving Certificates of Recognition for there Community Service to the City. The CJ students and Explorers distributed flyers to ALL citizens of the City of Rosenberg which detailed available city services. The Lamar CJ students are advised by Dr. Fred C. Guess and the Rosenberg Explorers are Advised by Lt. Aaron Slater, Det. Kayla Dowdy and Det. Randy Weishiemer.

 

 

The Lamar High School's Diversified Career Preparation class visited Wharton County Junior College and TSTC recently. The students that participated in this trip are seniors who are considering attending WCJC in the fall. Kris Sulak of WCJC arranged to have the students meet with various administrators regarding enrollment, counseling, and financial aid. They toured both WCJC and TSTC. Before they left, all students completed an admission's application. Their sponsor is Terry Lindsey.

The Lamar Consolidated High School Career and Technical Education Interior Design Class recently visited The Decorative Center of Houston with Houston Community College Instructors. While at the Decorative Center they were able to view three showrooms - Donghia, Kravet, and the Houston Showroom. They also visited Tel-Fair where they toured various model homes.

The students returned to class and they were assigned 2 design projects in which they were to apply the elements and principals of design and the information that they gathered from the trip.
