L.E.A.F. delivers grants for innovative classroom ideas
The Lamar Educational Awards Foundation was out in full force, awarding $171,701 in grants to Lamar CISD campuses. The L.E.A.F. “Grant Express” awarded 100 grants to LCISD teachers.
L.E.A.F. has awarded more than $903,031 in teaching grants to LCISD campuses since 2000 and $19,000 in college scholarships to LCISD graduates and paraprofessionals.

The Lamar CISD Student Art Exhibit is an artistic exhibition of works by the students of LCISD. These works will be judged by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Committee. Best of Show, Gold Medal, and Special Merit winners will be further judged and exhibited at the Reliant Center at Rodeo Houston. The exhibit will remain open to the public in the Fort Bend County Rosenberg Annex Building through January 21, 2009.
