The Texas Department of Health Services along with the CDC has updated its school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for Covid-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like the flu. Students and staff now only need to be excluded from school until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
The Sick Leave Bank will continue to be available for employee-related absences that are due to the Covid-related illness.
