CLASSLINK FOR STUDENTS
Has your child memorized their login credentials? They will use this information to access district computers, online textbooks, and many other services including ClassLink, (http://launchpad.classlink.com/lcisd) the district’s web portal for online instructional resources for students. Student ID numbers and login credentials remain the same as long as the child is enrolled in an LCISD school. If your child does not know their credentials, please contact their teacher ASAP.

CANVAS for Parents
 Please remember that Canvas is now available for all elementary students. All guardians in Skyward that have access to the Skyward Family Access Center automatically has a Canvas account. Your email address listed in Skyward will be your username for Canvas. That account is automatically linked to all of your children in LCISD! For instructions on how you can login to your account, including setting up your password for the first time, please visit https://www.lcisd.org/students-parents/canvas-information

 

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is there uniform dress at Velasquez Elementary?

Answer: No , there will not be uniform dress. You will need to follow the district guidelines for dress, however.

2. Does Velasquez Elementary provide a bilingual program?

Answer: We do not provide the bilingual program. Our PK bilingual students attend Seguin Early Learning Center and our K-5 bilingual students attend Smith Elementary School.

3. What are the walk zone areas?

Answer: The walk zone is one half mile from the school.

4. What are Velasquez's school colors?

Answer: Our school colors are Red, Black, and Gray. The mascot is a wildcat.

5. Can I bring cupcakes for my child's birthday?

Answer: Yes, you can bring them to be served at the end of the day. However, they must be store bought.
