This course is the first course in the Project Lead the Way sequence and meets for one period hour every day, all year long. PLTW is a hands-on, real-world curriculum, and is the fastest-growing formal and rigorous STEM education program in the country. In this course, students will learn the Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling package, AutoCAD, and will complete orthographic (multi-view) drawings, sectional views, auxiliary views, assemblies and working drawings. Students will use this software to design their own solutions to problems and present them. Teamwork and solving “real world” problems will be a focus throughout the year.
