Library Storybook Tree Family Project

The Huggins Library is excited about the 2nd Annual Storybook Family Tree Project.  The Library is looking for book character ornaments to help decorate our Storybook Tree.  Last year, we received many wonderful book character ornaments to help decorate our Storybook Tree.  The tree is HUGE and we need lots of fun ornaments.  Please see the flyer for the guidelines for this fun, family project.  Contact Mrs. Jurkowski, our Librarian with any questions.

Lamar CISD announces Purple Track Growth Plan for the 2023-2024 School Year

Sep 29, 2022 | Lamar CISD Communications

Lamar CISD announces Purple Track Growth Plan for the 2023-2024 School Year

(Rosenberg, Texas) – Lamar CISD is the fastest growing school district in the State of Texas and enrollment is outpacing the most recent projections from the District’s demographer.

As a result, the District is considering various options to accommodate the rapid growth. One set of options involves the construction of facilities financed through the issuance of voter-approved bonds

In the event that the District does not obtain voter approval for the issuance of bonds, the District currently anticipates implementing a strategy that involves repurposing existing campuses and acquiring portable buildings to accommodate enrollment growth. Even with the approval of bonds, there will be a period of time during the construction of facilities that the District will need to implement a repurposing strategy to address enrollment growth.

The following plan outlines the approach to address capacity challenges at Fulshear High School using a repurposing strategy for the 2023-24 school year and beyond if necessary. This strategy will ensure that students have the best learning environments possible and will impact these campuses: Fulshear HS, Leaman JH, Roberts MS, and Lindsey, Tamarron, Huggins, Hubenak, Morgan, and Bentley Elementary Schools.
