Welcome to Journalism, Advanced Journalism - Newspaper, and Creative Writing.  I am looking forward to working with you this coming year.

In Journalism, we will learn all about the various aspects of Journalism; from writing articles to designing a spread for a magazine.

In Advanced Journalism- Newspaper we will create The Wrangler magazine and we will run and write for the online paper,  You will build on your writing, design, and photography skills.

In Creative Writing you will explore different types of writing, and create a portfolio of your work.  As well, you will help with the creation of The Twisted Wire Literary and Art Magazine.

I moved to Texas fifteen years ago from Vancouver, BC, Canada.  I have been married for 27 years to a wonderfully supportive man . We don't have any children, but we have a very large, Maine Coon cat, named Sherlock. 

I have been teaching for 29 years. I’ve taught grades 2 through 12.  Currently I teach Journalism, Newspaper, and Creative Writing.  Our newspaper staff maintains the online paper and publishes the The Wrangler magazine and The Twisted Wire literary and arts magazine. I am also the Advisor for the National Honor Society.

My husband and I love to travel.  We have been to over 30 states, most of Canada, 6 countries in Africa, 7 European countries, as well as Singapore and Malaysia.  We are always excited to see new places and learn about new cultures.
