The Pink Elementary 1st – 3rd Grade Gifted & Talented Pullout Class designed and created a 225 3X3 Cube Mosaic to enter the “You Can Do The Cube” Spring Mosaic competition. Thanks to a generous LEAF Grant, the Palominos were provided with the 225 Rubik’s Cubes needed to bring their design to life. These students designed and created their 225, 3X3 cube masterpiece in 4 hours 30 minutes over the span of three pull out class sessions.

Entries for the competition were divided into 3 categories:

- 100 cubes or less

- 101-225 cubes

- 226-600 cubes

The Palominos competed against 75 other groups from around the US, ranging in age from 1st grade up through High School. All entries were then put to an online vote where Pink brought in 393 votes, winning first place in the 101-225 cube division and second place overall. Thank you to everyone who voted for Pink Elementary!
