The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees has approved the new attendance zone for Carter Elementary School, which will open this August.

Trustees voted to allow residents living in planning unit 44G the option to declare which elementary campus they would like their child(ren) to attend—Carter or Velasquez Elementary via our “grandfathering” process. All current 4th-grade students at Thomas, Velasquez and Williams also have the ability to remain at their current campus for the upcoming school year via our “grandfathering” process.
