Welcome to all of our new and returning Astronauts! We finally got school started after 2 weeks due to Hurricane Harvey. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those that have been affected by this catastrophic storm. We are all trying to get back to normalcy with our students and staff. This first week back the teachers have been trying to get the students into the routines of school.
I have noticed that we have a large number of our parents that want to walk their children to class in these first few days. We are asking that you allow your child to walk to their class or the gym by themselves so that they can develop some independence here at school. If your child has a special situation that they need parental guidance please come see me and let me know what the issue might be. If there is a reason that you have to walk down the classroom hallway you must first register with the secretary to get a visitor’s pass. This will require your driver’s license to be scanned to make sure we are not exposing our children to unwanted visitors. Thanks for your cooperation in helping us to keep our school safe.
Our Curriculum Nights have been re-scheduled. These nights are an opportunity for our parents to learn more specifically about what your child will be learning throughout the year and the priorities for his/her class. We hope to have as many of our parents attend as possible. The new Curriculum Nights days and times are as follows:
