We will be having a lock-down drill next Tuesday, October 13th, at 9:30. All outside doors will be locked as well as classroom doors. If you are needing to pick-up your child early, please make arrangements to do so either before or after the drill. Students will be informed on procedures used during the drill and they will be made aware that it is only a drill. We want to make sure we are prepared should any emergency situation arise in our area.
Please make sure that your child is following the Austin dress code when they leave for school in the morning. The uniform dress code for Austin is located on the Austin webpage. You can click on Parent/Students and then dress code to get the specifics. Also be aware that our students must always follow the district dress code. Under this section are areas such as the acceptable length of shorts/skorts for the girls and no designs/emblems allowed on shirts and pants. The dress code is clearly written in the Elementary School Handbook. If you are not sure or need some clarification of dress code, please give us a call.
We will be attending Charlotte’s Web this Thursday, October 8th at Foster High School. This trip is being funded by our PTO. We would encourage you to support our PTO which allows our students to do many extra things that our local school budget would not permit. Thank you PTO!!! Please be sure to sign and return your student’s permission slip so that they will be able to attend the performance.
