We have just completed our final round of STAAR testing and are ready to enter the final month of the school year.  Next week, April 27^th- May 1^st, is PK/Kindergarten round-up.  If you have a Kindergartener or Pre-Kindergartener starting next year, we would encourage you to get them registered during the round up week.  This will allow us to see what staffing units will be needed for the coming year.  If you have a student that qualifies for PK, they will attend classes at Hubenak as we will not have a PK unit here at Austin.  We look forward to seeing and meeting many of you next week as you get our newest Astronauts signed up and ready for the upcoming school year.

Over the next month we will have many different activities at school and as such students tend to push the dress code rule a bit.  Please make sure that students do not come to school in violation of our dress code rules and have to miss out on these school activities.  This has been particularly noticeable lately with some of our girls wearing shorts above fingertip length.

Our Austin Choir will perform the National Anthem for the Skeeters Game on May 28th.  Our very own PE Teacher Julie Cantu will throw out the opening pitch.  Come on out and join us in supporting our school.  Tickets can be purchased here:  tickets
