Make sure to provide the following necessary registration documents:

  • Proof of Residence: parent/legal guardian’s current utility bill (gas/water/electric)
  • Parent/guardian’s picture ID
  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Immunization Record
  • Final report card from previous school for grades 1-5 showing your child has advanced to the next grade level 

*** If you prefer, you may submit all documents electronically to rachel.falcon@lcisd.org scanned/PDF copies are preferred. If sending cell phone pictures, make sure the pictures are clear and not blurry.

    Student Dress Code

    TOPS:
    - Red, White or Navy Blue collared shirt (no logos and no hoods)
    - Austin Elementary spirit shirts (purchased from PTO) 

    BOTTOMS:
    - Khaki, Navy, Black or Denim pants, shorts, skirts, skorts or jumpers
    - Denim blue jeans must be plain with no pictures, embroidery, designs or words other than the brand name in the waist area and must comply with the LCISD dress code regulations.

    Gifted and Talented Information

    If you would like a referral form to nominate your child for the 2022-2023 LCISD GT program, please contact Saundra Pletka at spletka@lcisd.org.  Be sure to include name, school, grade level, and teacher in the email.  A form must be on file by December 17, 2021 to screen your child for the 2022-2023 school year.   Kindergarten students do not need to be referred, as all students are screened for the program.

    LCTA honors Teachers and Paraprofessionals of the Year

    The Lamar Classroom Teachers’ Association (LCTA) honored their colleagues Thursday, May 6 with a modified version of their annual Teacher of the Year Celebration streamed on YouTube. 

    In addition to honoring an Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year, the group honors Elementary and Secondary Paraprofessionals of the Year.

    Bowie Elementary School’s Kelly Shepard is the 2021 Elementary Teacher of the Year and Terry High School's Jennifer Harper is the 2021 Secondary Teacher of the Year.

    Carter Elementary School’s Makeesha O'Brien is the 2021 Elementary Paraprofessional of the Year and George Junior High School's Chari Jackson-Scott is the Secondary Paraprofessional of the Year.
