Williams Elementary Principal, Anitra Wilson, Librarian, Sara Smith, and Assistant Principal, Yunghee Choi are beyond excited as they transform a school bus into the Bookmobile. 

This summer, Lamar CISD rolled out the District's first ever Bookmobile. The Bookmobile is a refurbished school bus equipped with air conditioning, seating, shelving and a variety of books for students to enjoy.

The Bookmobile services Williams Elementary students as their campus undergoes renovations from the 2017 Bond and makes stops within Williams’ attendance zone. Students are encouraged to check out books to maintain their reading level and participate in the District wide goal of reading over 8 million minutes this summer.
