GT Program Nominations – due December 21, 2018

To nominate a student for the 2019-2020 G/T Program, parents need to fill out a nomination form.  Kindergarten students do not need to be nominated, as every student is screened for the program.  First through 4th grade students already identified as Gifted and Talented do not need to be reassessed.  Fifth graders interested in participating in the 6th grade G/T Program DO need to be nominated.  The G/T Program serves students who have an educational need for specialized services.  The program includes placement with a classroom teacher trained in gifted education and pull-out classes with the G/T Facilitator. Please make sure that the completed form is turned in to Mrs. Pletka. You mail email the form to spletka@lcisd.org.

Only students new to LCISD may be tested in the fall for the 2018-2019 program.  Please ask for a nomination form when enrolling your child.

I am Saundra Pletka, the GT Facilitator at Adolphus Elementary.  This is my 24th year of teaching, 18 years in LCISD.  I love hanging out with my husband and three children.  They all have different interests that keep me very busy. Cole is a junior in college playing baseball for University of Dayton. Go Flyers!  Clay graduated, works all of the time and collects signed baseball cards. Camryn, my baby girl, is a Senior  and involved in Color Guard at THS.  I have two spoiled Daschunds that are my absolute babies- Reese and Fergie. My rescue pit, Maggie is a joyful addition to our house. Welcome to GT at Adolphus Elementary!
