Canvas Information

Lamar Consolidated ISD is excited to roll out the Canvas Learning Management System to all secondary students for the 2017-18 school year. Canvas is a digital tool that allows teachers, students, and parents a single platform for accessing a variety of educational resources online, all in one location. Over the course of the 2017-18 school year, teachers will begin using a variety of Canvas’ features. As we begin the school year, Canvas will be a resource for teacher and campus communication and will continue to evolve over the coming months. For more information on Canvas, including a brief overview of how to navigate this system, check out the videos below.

Canvas Parent Information

Canvas provides parents and guardians “view only” access to see your student’s course work. This allows you access to information such as calendar reminders, announcements, assignments, class notes, and more. As LCISD teachers begin using Canvas throughout the school year, you will see valuable information inside of this tool.

Below you will find several instructional videos, including how to link students to your account, a brief overview of how to navigate Canvas, details on how to setup Canvas notifications, and information on how to use the Canvas Parent app.

Before linking students to your account, you will need your student's LCISD username and password. This is the same username and password your student uses to login to an LCISD computer, Skyward Student Access portal, ClassLink, etc.
