Andrew Briscoe Junior High opened in August
2001.
Briscoe Junior High
offers our 7th and 8th grade students opportunities to grow
academically, emotionally, and socially in a nurturing and safe
environment.
Students take
Math, Social Studies, English and Science. In addition, 7th grade students
take Reading. Three computer labs allow students the opportunity to
become proficient in the area of technology. Electives include Theater Arts,
Art, Skills for Living, Hospitality, Journalism/Newspaper, Journalism/Yearbook, Technology
Applications, Band, Choir, Spanish, French, Teen Leadership, Keyboarding,
and Agriculture Mechanics. Students also participate in physical education
and major sports.

Students
are encouraged to participate
in the various clubs and activities that are offered at BJH
including Student Council, NJHS,
Spanish Club, FCLA, Science Club, and Chess
Club.
An
active Parent/Teacher Organization provides support and volunteers for the school.
Volunteers are used in all areas of the building and parents are
encouraged to contact the school to see where their talents can best be
used. We urge you to come by, get involved, and let us show you what
