Frost Elementary Dress Code Description: Bottoms- Khaki, Black, Navy blue solid slacks, shorts, skirts, or jumpers. Long blue denim jeans, or blue denim shorts, skorts, or jumpers. (All bottoms need to be of the appropriate length and fit as directed in the district dress code standards. No embroidery or embellishment should be visible on any article of clothing.)
Tops-Red, White, Navy blue, or Light blue collared shirts may be worn. Frost Elementary spirit shirts, school shirts, turtlenecks, or school sweatshirts may also be worn. Solid color shirts or tops may not have any visible logos and all s hirts or tops must be tucked into the bottoms.
Jackets - Solid Red, Navy blue, Black, Khaki, or White Jackets may be worn during class time. No logos or embellishment of any kind should be visible.
Other - NO backless shoes, skate shoes, flip flops, sweat pants, leggings, overalls, hats, caps, scarves, or rolling backpacks are allowed.
List of Vendors- Clothing may be
bought at many different stores such as Old Navy, Walmart, Target,
J.C. Penney, Dillards,
and
Assistance Fund- The school will solicit donations from private sources and the Parent Teacher Organization. The school nurse will be supplied with clothing for children that may need a change of clothes during the school day.
New Students- Students new to the campus will be informed of the dress policy at the time of enrollment and given 3 weeks to comply with the policy.
Enforcement Policies- For students who do not comply with the Uniform-Dress Policy, the following steps will be taken: Student Conference, Parent/Guardian Contact, ISS, Home Visit, referral to the Grievance Committee/SCDM, and other consequences as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
Exemptions- The following exemptions of the Uniform-Dress Policy may be allowed: Fall and Spring Picture Days, Boy & Girl Scout Uniforms (on meeting days), Field Day, School/District sponsored days such as Go Texan Day, and special event days as approved by the SBDM team. Parents/Guardians who have religious or philosophical objections to uniform dress may submit a written petition to the campus principal. The SBDM committee will approve or deny the petition.
Implementation Date- The Uniform-Dress policy will be
effective as of the first day of school. |
