Salutatorians for the Class of 2016

Aimee Chaelani Aimee Chaelani is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2016 at Foster High School. She is the daughter of Munir and Mamik Chaelani.

She plans to attend the University of Texas, majoring in chemical engineering, with a career in the energy industry. 

She received a Youth in Philanthropy Scholarship from the Henderson-Wessendorff Foundation, a Fair Bend County Fair Scholarship and an AP Scholar Scholarship.
Chaelani was active in the Foster Falcon Band, HOSA, Student Council, Interact, National Honor Society and was president of POWER SET.












Laura Green - GRHS SalutatorianLaura Green is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2016 for George Ranch High School. She is the daughter of Natalie and Nathan Green.

She plans to attend Vanderbilt University and study human and organizational development, eventually becoming a doctor or working on education policy. Her long-range goal is to have a positive impact on as many children as possible.

Green is an AP Scholar with Distinction and was the Outstanding Student in Social Studies and Science. She is receiving the Service Cord, having volunteered more than 160 hours. While at George Ranch, she was active in National Honor Society, Student Council, the Texas French Symposium, the Young Republicans, the Pre-Med Club and the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee. 











Aaliyah Charlesa Jenkins is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2016 at Lamaraaliyah Jenkins Consolidated High School. She is the daughter of Troy and Regina Jenkins. 

She plans to attend the University of Texas and enroll in the Plan II Honors Program and study biochemistry and design. After graduation, she wants to be a pharmacist, as well as continuing to do design as a sideline.

While at Lamar Consolidated she was active in Mustang Playhouse, Speech and debate and the National Honor Society.














steve KowalSteve Kowal is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2016 at Terry High School. He is the son of Gina Kowal and Steve Kowal Jr.

Kowal will attend the University of Houston, studying math and science, and planning to find a career in one of those fields.

While at Terry, Kowal was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as the tennis and basketball teams.
