Due to inclement weather and mobility issues, all Lamar CISD schools and facilities will be CLOSED on Tuesday, Jan. 16. All student extracurricular activities are also canceled. We are closely monitoring the weather and will inform the community if there are any further changes.

An outstanding athlete and a dedicated volunteer were honored at the 34th Lamar Special Olympics Invitational, Saturday, April 11 in Lamar CISD’s Traylor Stadium.

Anasia Rodriguez is the 2014-2015 Judge Jodie Stavinoha Special Olympian of the Year. Judge Stavinoha’s niece, Patti Kocich, presented the award.

Stavinoha was a long-time supporter of the Lamar CISD Special Olympics program and the award was created in his honor shortly after his passing.

Jill Duban, a 10-year veteran of the Lamar Special Olympics, was named the 2014-2015 Volunteer of the Year. Foster High Principal Gene Tomas presented the award.
