Herman Parish with Amelia Bedelia, who has a striking resemblance to Long Elementary teacher Kim Guinn.
Herman Parish, author of the wildly popular “Amelia Bedelia” series of children’s books, visited Jane Long Elementary as part of Texas Public School Week.
Amelia Bedelia herself also made an appearance on campus.
Parish’s visit is funded by a grant from L.E.A.F.
Parish is the nephew of Peggy Parish, the original author of the Amelia Bedelia series. Parish spent the day at Long Elementary talking and visiting with students, reading excerpts from Amelia Bedelia books and signing autographs.
